Raising taxs for aero methow Rescue is a bad idea. Originally when the place first started it was supposed to be a one time tax to get it started and then it would be self sustaining. But somehow they continued to keep getting money from the city like leaches. There is only a few people working the place that don't get called to action that often who are over paid for what they do. There was article in the paper about it not long ago. and it an example of how there is corruption on all levels of the government. Now there is a sign out front of the building saying chest pain? call 911 come on is a girl puberty going to call with chest pains and complain her chest hurts. The solution is the elderly should have an immediate contact list of people they could call in an emergency event. So they can call there neighbor and have them come drive them to where they need to go. and sell the emergency vehicles and equipment to the fire department for $15,000. The fire department should conduct the emergency service. Other cities do it. The owners of aero methow I bet have made good investment over the years and besides all that why continue our investment into that when it is currently unnecessary to pay any more money into that place when ontop of that they are unfriendly.
I take it you have never had to call the ambulance. The difference between having your neighbor drive you to the hospital and having Aero Methow come get you is huge, the difference between life and death. Aero Methow carries medication that can saves a persons life.
When my husband has gone into status epilepticus where he would have died if he did not quickly receive medications to stop the seizure calling Aero Methow saved his life because they gave him that medication on the spot. He would not have lived if his only option had been for me to drive him to the hospital.
Please don't suggest that we get rid of life-saving emergency services simply because you don't need it. Others, such as my husband, do need these services and Aero Methow has saved their lives.
Well you also have no medical back ground, have not done enough research & need to take proper english writing classes. The valley does need Aero Methow even if they take to long to respond to calls. In this town most of our firefighters aren't trained medics to treat the ill, unlike in the bigger cities. Before you make a statement you really should do more research & see how much this service is really needed even if they do need tax money you can't expect all the people who work there not get paid. It is nice to have an opinion but try to make sure you can back it up with facts.
